Whether it is heritage you favour, or just getting outdoors to enjoy the Wicklow hills, Bramble Rock B&B is ideally located.

With so much to see and do, you will be spoiled for choice. You can leave your car at Bramble Rock and walk to take in the sights. We are located 350 metres from Lynham’s Hotel — up the road from St. John’s Church on the L1059.

A footpath goes all the way from Laragh to Glendalough, where you can find the round tower, and seven churches located in its environs. Further on, you can see the two lakes from which Glendalough gets its name (Gleann Dá Locha – the glen of two lakes). You can see St. Kevin’s bed from one of the walks around the upper lake. There are many beautiful walks in the surrounding area, which is part of the National Park. If you are interested, we can arrange for guided walks with a local company called Footfalls.

Avondale House & Treetop Walk, Avondale Forest Park, County Wicklow

Avondale House, the birthplace of Charles Stuart Parnell, is 12 km away and is a beautiful place to spend the afternoon — visiting the house or walking in the gardens. There is a wonderful treetop walk to enjoy.

Powerscourt is a short drive to the north, where the gardens are really worth a visit. While there, you can relax in the restaurant and browse in the lovely shops.

In Wicklow Town, you can visit the Gaol, which is a truly scary experience.

We are fortunate to have the Brockagh Resource Centre in Laragh Village. There are many things organised each month.
